Request for change

05/04/2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Request for change on something old. Long overdue. Like my twitter names, email adresses, mobile numbers my ‘regular’ adresses are just a way to contact me. One ‘regular’address serves different purposes though and they are not well defined. The qualifications street residence home and work have taken on different meaning during the last decennium. Regular fields in CRMs are still lagging ages behind. They should be updated to reflect modernity.

We have several types of these old reception coordinates, each of which you could have several instances of:

  1. Snailmail reception coordinates MRC for receiving small treeware
such as snailmail and newspapers. Max size is a given.
    • catchall snailmailbox MRCP (could be a P.O. Box) e.g. billing
    • group snailmailbox MRCG (in that case use attn:lastname)
    • judicial snailmailbox MRCJ for receiving governmental snailmail
  2. Personal reception coordinates PRC
PRC should be compatible with nav systems though coordinates of nearest parking or busstop are even better. And answeres questions like where is the meeting at?
    • location PRCL in case people want to know where you are from, used in dating
    • visiting PRCG for receiving people that come and see your group, e.g. your familyhome or office, has a latitude.
    • room PRCR for receiving people in a part of building. Meetingrooms e.g.
    • arresting PRCJ for questioning or acquiring you in person (where you spend nights)
  3. Stuff reception coordinates SRC
    • shipping SRC receiving an order of nespresso cups
    • judicial collateral SRCJ for acquiring your stuff in case of bankrupcy.
  4. Building identification
    • BI Just so gardeners know which lawn to mow.
